Observe the following if renewing control unit:

–  Take out telematics SIM card → Chapter.
–  Complete and submit fax form “Release of Audi telematics (Fax 1.1)” (enter new unit data and mark unit replacement).
The telematics SIM card for telephone/telematics control unit -J526- must remain with the vehicle.
The emergency battery for telematics -A16- must be ordered separately.
–  Insert telematics SIM card.
–  Install telephone/telematics control unit -J526- → Chapter.
–  Deactivate the service mode for telephone/telematics control unit -J526- → Chapter.
–  Perform initialisation → Chapter.
