Removing and installing telephone transmitter and receiver unitR36
Removing and installing telephone transmitter and receiver unit -R36-
–  When renewing control unit, select “Replacement” function for appropriate control unit in “Guided Fault Finding”.
To do so, use the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051-.
–  Switch off all electrical equipment.
–  Remove ignition key.
Removing
–  Remove A-pillar trim (right-side): → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.
–  Remove front seat (right-side) → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.72.
  Note
Seat belt at seat frame does not have to be unfastened.
–  Fold back floor covering: → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.70.
   
–  Release cover for electronics box -arrows- and remove cover.
  A97-0277
–  Detach electrical connectors -1- and -3- at telephone transmitter and receiver unit -R36--2-.
–  Remove telephone transmitter and receiver unit -R36--2- from electronics box.
–  If fitted, unplug aerial for Bluetooth -R152-.
Installing
–  Installation is performed in reverse sequence.
