Removing
  WARNING
High voltage! Danger to life!
Safety precautions when handling gas discharge lamps → Electrical system; General information; Rep. Gr.94.
–  Remove headlight → Chapter.
–  Unscrew bolts -1- and -2-.
–  Release retaining clip -3- in direction of -arrow- and detach housing cover from headlight housing.

–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Detach control unit -1- from housing cover for headlight housing.

–  Unplug electrical connector -1-.
  Note
Disregard -item 2-.
  A94-10136
–  Unplug electrical connector -4- at gas discharge lamp.
–  Remove electrical wires -1- and adapter cable -3- from retainer -2-.
–  Guide adapter cable out of housing cover -5-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Insert adapter cable and electrical wiring in retainer.
–  Check gasket between control unit for gas discharge lamp and headlight housing.
–  Install headlight → Anchor.
–  Connect the battery. Additional steps required → Anchor.
