Converting headlights for driving on the left or right side of the road
Converting headlights for driving on the left or right side of the road
t  When travelling in countries where the vehicle is to be driven on the other side of the road, masking elements must be applied to both headlights to prevent dazzling by the asymmetric dipped beam.
t  There are different masking elements available for adapting headlights for left and right-hand drive traffic (adhesive elements for headlight lens) → Parts catalogue.
   
Fitting the masking elements
–  Thoroughly clean the headlight lenses on both sides of vehicle (must be clean and dry).
–  Pull off protective foil from adhesive strips on masking element.
–  Position the masking element -1- with the projection -arrow- at the ridge of the headlight lens.
–  Press the adhesive strips of masking element onto headlight lens.
–  Repeat the procedure on the opposite side of vehicle.
