Removing air cleaner housing - vehicles with 4.2 ltr. MPI engine - Audi S4
Removing air cleaner housing - vehicles with 4.2 ltr. MPI engine - Audi S4
   
Procedure
–  Detach cover (right-side) -1- in engine compartment.
  A10-1030
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Detach activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80--item 1- at air duct.
–  Remove air duct -2-.
  A10-0900
–  Unplug electrical connector -2- at solenoid valve 1 for activated charcoal filter -N80-.
–  Unplug electrical connector -3- at air mass meter -G70-.
–  Disconnect hose -1- going to secondary air pump.
–  Detach air intake hose -4- at air mass meter -G70-.
–  Move wiring harness at air cleaner housing clear.
–  Remove clip -arrow- and remove air cleaner housing together with air mass meter -G70-.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
–  Install air cleaner housing → Rep. Gr.24.
