Removing sliding/tilting sunroof panel »2«   Note If bolts for securing sunroof panel have been completely removed, they must be renewed.

q	To remove, fully open sun blind and pull off acoustic seal to the side → Item.

q	Unscrew bolts on each side (front and rear) and lift out panel.

3 -	Panel seal

–	Panel »2« removed.

–	Starting at the side, pull panel seal off panel (left and right).

–	Pull panel seal (front) upwards out of panel.

q	When installing, align seal (front) centrally with panel and press into guides → Anchor.

–	Fit ends of seal onto lugs on moulding.

Adjusting sunroof panel l  Arrow = direction of travel (front) t  Dimension »a« = 1.5 mm t  Dimension »b« = 1.0 mm t  Dimension »c« = 0.5 mm –  All dimensions ± 0.5 mm

Installing panel seal   Note Spray seal with soap solution to make installation easier. –  Align seal centrally with panel and press into two guides (front).

–  Press seal -1- into guides at side of panel -2-. –  It is only necessary to remove seal -3- when panel »2« is removed. –  To do so, pull seal off frame -4- (at side). Renewing seal for sliding/tilting sunroof Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Roller -3356-   Note t  Remove any remaining adhesive from the body. t  Clean bonding surfaces on body with cleaning solution -D 009 401 04-. t  The bonding surfaces must be free of dust and grease. t  Before bonding, heat bonding surfaces and seal to approx. 40° C. t  After bonding on seal, press seal on firmly with roller -3356-.

–  Before removing, remove the two sunroof panels. Pull seal -1- to the side off body flange. –  Remove any residual adhesive and clean body flange. –  Peel off protective film from adhesive at rear section of seal and then press on rear section of seal (joint should be in centre of vehicle; observe marking). –  Press seal in at front corners. –  Press on front section of seal. –  Press on side sections of seal; if necessary, compress seal evenly to take up any excess length. –  Press seal on all around using roller -3356-.
