  Note
Removal and installation are described on the basis of the driver's seat rail cover (sill side). For greater clarity, the surrounding area is not shown in the illustration.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removal wedge -3409-
  W00-0016
Removing
–  Move head restraint to lowest detent position.
–  Move seat as far towards rear and top as possible.
–  Use removal wedge -3409- to prise spindle cover -1- off seat rail cover -2- and seat longitudinal adjustment spindle.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Make sure the spindle cover is properly engaged.
