Removing and installing right (front passenger side) footwell vent
Removing and installing right (front passenger side) footwell vent
  Note
Air conditioning units with an additional connection for glove compartment cooling are being gradually introduced as of 01.2008 → Chapter. Attention is to be paid to correct assignment of the right heater housing and the air intake box → Electronic parts catalogue.
Removing
–  Move the front passenger's seat to the rearmost position.
–  Switch off the ignition.
–  Remove the glove compartment → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.
   
–  Unplug the connector -A- from the temperature sensor (only fitted with air conditioner of „Deluxe“ type).
–  Remove the bolts -B-.
–  Remove the right footwell vent -C-.
Installing
Install in reverse order; paying attention to the following:
–  Switch on the ignition.
–  Interrogate the event recorder of the operating and display unit, Climatronic control unit -J255- and erase any faults displayed (air conditioner of „Deluxe“ type only) → "Guided fault-finding" function of vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
