q	Prior to attachment, coat the sealing cap sealing surface at the gearbox cover with sealing paste -AMV 188 001 02-

q	For mounting input gear/spur gear mechanism in end cover

q	Pressing in → Fig.

Extracting outer race/tapered roller bearing from end cover A -  Counter-support, e.g. -Kukko 22/2- B -  Internal puller 56 ... 70 mm, e.g. -Kukko 21/8-   Note Check the shim → Item for damage and replace if necessary.

Pressing home outer race/tapered roller bearing –  Position shim beneath outer race beforehand. –  Support the end cover with -VW 460/3- directly beneath the bearing support.
