→ Chapter „Turbocharger - exploded view“
→ Chapter „Fitting air pipes/hoses with plug-in connectors“
→ Chapter „Removing and installing turbocharger“
→ Chapter „Checking vacuum unit for turbocharger“
→ Chapter „Removing and installing vacuum unit for turbocharger“
→ Chapter „Adjusting vacuum unit for turbocharger“
  Note
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment).
t  Hose connections and hoses for charge air system must be free of oil and grease before assembly. However (applies only to plug-in connectors); the seal and the sealing surface of plug-in connectors should be lubricated lightly with oil → Chapter.
t  Charge air system must be free of leaks.
t  Renew self-locking nuts.
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362- or hose clip pliers -V.A.G 1921- are recommended for use when installing spring-type clips.
t  Fill turbocharger with engine oil at connection for oil supply line.
t  After installing turbocharger, allow engine to idle for approx. 1 minute and do not rev up immediately to ensure turbocharger is supplied with oil.
t  Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
