Removing and installing coolant temperature senderG62

Removing and installing coolant temperature sender -G62-

Removing

–	Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.

l	Engine cold.

–	Open filler cap on coolant expansion tank briefly and allow residual pressure in cooling system to dissipate.

–	Remove bolt -4- and unclip air hoses for exhaust gas pressure sensor 1.

–	Remove nuts -1- and detach bracket -2-.

–	Remove vacuum pump → Rep. gr.47.

–	Unplug electrical connector -2- at coolant temperature sender -G62-.

–	Pull off retaining clip -1- and pull out coolant temperature sender -G62-.

Installing

Install in reverse order. Note the following:

t	Renew O-rings.

t	Insert new coolant temperature sender -G62- immediately into connection to avoid loss of coolant.

–	Check coolant level → Chapter.
