Removing and installing oil pump
Removing and installing oil pump
   
Removing
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
–  Remove circlip -1- using circlip pliers.
–  Screw in an M3 bolt -2- and pull drive shaft out of oil pump -arrow-.
–  Remove bolt -4- and detach intake connecting pipe from oil pump.
–  Remove bolts -3- and -5- and detach oil pump.
  Caution
The bolt on the idler gear must NOT be loosened.
Installing
Install in reverse order. Note the following:
Tightening torques → Chapter „Sump, oil pump, balance shaft assembly - exploded view“
  Note
t  Renew O-ring.
t  Renew circlip if damaged or stretched.
t  Circlip must fit securely in groove.
–  Make sure both dowel sleeves are in place before installing oil pump.
–  Install sump → Chapter.
