Removing and installing bracket for ancillaries Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Pin wrench -3212- Removing –  Remove alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27. –  Remove high-pressure pump → Rep. gr.23. –  Remove 4/2-way valve → Chapter.

–  Remove bolt -arrow-. –  Remove bolts -1- and -2- and remove idler rollers for toothed belt.

–  Mark position of poly V-belt pulley for power steering pump relative to hub -arrow- for re-installation.

–  Remove bolts -arrows- (counterhold with pin wrench -3212-) and detach poly V-belt pulley for power steering pump.

–  Remove bolts -arrows- and tie power steering pump up to one side (hydraulic lines remain connected).

–  Unplug electrical connectors -1- and -2- and move electrical wiring clear.   WARNING Risk of injury caused by refrigerant. The air conditioner refrigerant circuit must not be opened. –  Remove bolts -arrows- for air conditioner compressor.   Caution Danger of damage to refrigerant lines and hoses. Do NOT stretch, kink or bend refrigerant lines and hoses. –  Tie up air conditioner compressor together with lines to one side (lines remain connected).   Note Disregard -item 3-.

–  Remove bolts -1 ... 6- and detach bracket for ancillaries. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following: l  Tightening torques → Fig. „„Bracket for ancillaries - tightening torque and tightening sequence““   Note Renew the bolts tightened with specified tightening angle. –  Check that dowel sleeves are fitted at top right between bracket for ancillaries and cylinder block; insert dowel sleeves if necessary. –  Tighten bolts for bracket for ancillaries → Fig.. –  Install air conditioner compressor → Rep. gr.87. –  Install power steering pump → Rep. gr.48. –  Install 4/2-way valve → Chapter. –  Install high-pressure pump → Rep. gr.23. –  Install toothed belt (adjust valve timing) → Anchor. –  Install alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
