Removing and installing front silencer
Removing and installing front silencer
   
Removing
–  Remove rear noise insulation panel -2- → Rep. gr.66.
  A10-11071
–  If fitted, remove bolts -arrows- and detach front cross member.

–  Unscrew nuts -arrows- for front silencer (left-side).
  A26-10533
–  Unscrew nuts -arrows- for front silencer (right-side).
  A26-10534
  Caution
Risk of damage to flexible joints in front silencer.
Do NOT bend the flexible joint in the front silencer more than 10°.
–  Release and push back clamp -1- or -2- and detach relevant front silencer.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torques → Chapter „Silencers - exploded view“
  Note
Renew gaskets and self-locking nuts.
–  Align the exhaust system so it is free of stress → Chapter.
–  Install front cross member and noise insulation → Rep. gr.66.
