Removing and installing hose connection with thermostat - vehicles without SCR catalytic converter
Removing and installing hose connection with thermostat - vehicles without SCR catalytic converter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362-
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Remove pump for exhaust gas recirculation cooler -V400- → Chapter.

–  Detach coolant hose -1-.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove connection with thermostat.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Coolant pump and thermostat - exploded view“
  Note
Fit new O-ring.
–  Clean sealing surface.
–  Install poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Fill up with coolant → Anchor.
