Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1G235 - engine codes CAPA, CCLA, CCWA, CCWB, CGKA, CGKB
Removing and installing exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235- - engine codes CAPA, CCLA, CCWA, CCWB, CGKA, CGKB
   
Removing
  Note
Fit all cable ties in the original positions when installing.
–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A10-10890
–  Unplug electrical connector -1- for exhaust gas temperature sender and move wiring clear.
–  Remove bolts -2- and -3-.
–  Detach heat shield for turbocharger.

–  Unplug electrical connector -arrow- for exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235-.
  A23-10055
–  Unscrew exhaust gas temperature sender 1 -G235--arrow-.
  Note
For illustration purposes, the installation position is shown from the rear and with the engine removed.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Exhaust gas temperature senders - exploded view“
–  Install heat shield for turbocharger → Chapter.
