Lambda probes - overview

Lambda probes

1 -	Lambda probe after catalytic converter -G130- and Lambda probe heater 1 after catalytic converter -Z29-

2 -	Lambda probe -G39- and Lambda probe heater -Z19-

l	Tightening torque: 55 Nm

Electrical connectors for Lambda probes (engine codes CDNB, CDNC, CAEB, CDZA, CAEA, CADA)

1 -	Activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80-

2 -	Lambda probe after catalytic converter -G130- and Lambda probe heater 1 after catalytic converter -Z29-

3 -	Lambda probe -G39- and Lambda probe heater -Z19-

Fitting location for engine codes CFKA, CPMA

Electrical connector for Lambda probe -G39-

6 -	Lambda probe -G39- and Lambda probe heater -Z19-

Note

t	Threads of new Lambda probes are already coated with assembly paste; the paste must not get into the slots on the probe body.

t	In the case of a used Lambda probe grease only the thread with high-temperature paste. The paste must not get into the slots on the Lambda probe body. High-temperature paste → Parts catalogue

t	When installing, it is important to re-attach the Lambda probe wiring at the same locations to prevent it from coming into contact with the exhaust pipe.
