Removing and installing high-pressure pump > < High-pressure pump

1 - Nut
q   To loosen, counterhold adapter -item 2- using counterhold tool -T40248-
q   70 Nm
2 - Adapter
q   For chain sprocket for high-pressure pump
q   To loosen nut -item 1-, counterhold adapter using counterhold tool -T40248-
q   Install on new high-pressure pump when renewing high-pressure pump
3 - O-ring
q   Renew
4 - High-pressure pump
  Caution
Risk of malfunctions caused by dirt.
Observe → Chapter „Safety precautions when working on the fuel system“.
Running when dry causes irreparable damage to high-pressure pump.
After installing the high-pressure pump, the pump must first be filled with fuel before the engine is started for the first time → Chapter.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
5 - High-pressure pipe
q   Do not alter shape
q   Check for damage before re-installing
q   Always renew high-pressure pipe when renewing high-pressure pump
q   Installing → Chapter
q   Lubricate threads of union nuts with clean engine oil
q   25 Nm
6 - Fuel supply hose
7 - Fuel return hose
8 - O-ring
q   Renew
9 - Fuel temperature sender -G81-
q   2 Nm
10 - High-pressure pipe
q   Do not alter shape
q   Check for damage before re-installing
q   Always renew high-pressure pipe when renewing high-pressure pump
q   Installing → Chapter
q   Lubricate threads of union nuts with clean engine oil
q   25 Nm
11 - Bolt
q   22 Nm
