The illustration below shows the arrangement of components -2- and -3- on a left-hand drive vehicle. The arrangement of components -2- and -3- on a right-hand drive vehicle is symmetrically opposite.
1 - Power steering pump
q   With electrically operated regulating valve
q   Regulating valve is fitted only in vehicles with 6 or 8-cylinder engine
q   Power steering pump and regulating valve are combined as one component and renewed together
q   Fitting location on vehicles with 4 or 6-cylinder engine: on front left side of engine (belt drive)
q   Fitting location on vehicles with 8-cylinder engine: on rear left side of engine (chain drive)
2 - Adjuster
q   Must not be detached or disconnected from steering column
q   Adjuster and steering column are combined as one component and renewed together
q   System must be recalibrated if adjuster is renewed → Chapter
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
3 - Active steering control unit -J792-
q   Basic setting must be performed on the system if active steering control unit -J792- has been renewed → Chapter.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
