General notes on information exchange
Data exchange between the adaptive cruise control unit -J428- and other control units takes place either directly or indirectly. If direct data exchange cannot take place, the data are transmitted via the engine control unit -J623-, which forwards a status bit stream to the adaptive cruise control unit -J428-, on which operational information is stored.
