Identifying the states of the S-contact and the ignition
Terminal control without advanced key:
In the entry and start authorisation switch -E415- there are four microswitches which are scanned by the convenience system central control unit -J393-. The following states are identified depending on which microswitches are switching through to neutral:
t  No key inserted
t  Key at home position = S-contact
t  Key pressed
Pressing the key causes the ignition and the engine to be switched on and off depending on the status of the brake pedal and clutch pedal respectively.
Terminal control with advanced key:
In the entry and start authorisation button -E408- there are two microswitches which are scanned by the convenience system central control unit -J393-.
