14. Ground connection

For discharging electrostatic charge

Installed position / check requirements

After installing, check electrical connection of metal ring at fuel filler tube to a bare area of chassis using Ohm meter -

Specified value: approx. 0 Ohm

To remove, press release ring on EVAP canister

From EVAP canister to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve N80

To remove, press release ring on EVAP canister

18. Fuel tank

Removing and installing Fuel tank with attachments,

20. 23 Nm
21. Securing strap
22. Heat shield

For fuel tank

23. 2 Nm
24. 23 Nm

Installation position of Ground (GND) connection

-

Route Ground (GND) connection as shown in illustration.

-

First hook Ground (GND) connection contact -1- into securing hole on fuel tank -5- and then press in spacer bushing -2-.

-

Make sure connector of Ground (GND) connection -4- fits securely at metal ring -3- of fuel filler tube.

CAUTION:  After installing, check electrical connection of metal ring at fuel filler tube to a blank portion of chassis using Ohm meter:

Specification: approx. 0 Ohm.
