02XA Transmission

Manual Transmission, Checking Gear Oil Level

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› To check transmission oil level, vehicle must be level.

Remove oil filler plug - arrow - to check transmission oil.

The oil level is correct when the transmission is filled up to the edge of the housing - arrow -.

Top off transmission oil if necessary. Specification, refer to => [ Code, Transmission Allocation, Ratios and Capacities ] See: Transmission and
Drivetrain/Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Application and ID/02XA Transmission/Code, Transmission Allocation, Ratios and Capacities.

Install and tighten the oil fill plug.

When filling again, note the following:
