‹› If wheel bearing unit can be removed from stub axle carrier by hand, wheel bearing unit is OK and can be reinstalled.

Remove speed sensor - 2 -.

Mark eccentric bolt position - 1 - at top of stub axle carrier/wheel bearing housing, e.g. with a felt-tip pen.

Separate connections listed in sequence: Items 5, 3, 4 and 1.

Remove stub axle carrier or wheel bearing housing.
‹› Carefully press drive axle off on all wheel drive vehicles.
Installing
‹› Replace bolts and self-locking nuts. Notes in exploded view diagrams. Refer to => [ Subframe ] See: Steering and

Bonded rubber bushings have a limited torsional range. Only tighten threaded connections at control arms if vehicle is in curb weight position. Refer
to => [ Wheel Bearing, Lifting to Curb Weight Position ] See: Procedures/Rear Suspension
With FWD

Install new wheel bearing unit if necessary. Note.
