NOTE:

These models are equipped with new-generation radios as of the start of production.

Should problems arise, it is important for the service technician to be familiar with the function and operation of the radio system. Read the Radio
Owner's manual and review the radio function.

When retrofitting components, performing diagnosis or repairs , use applicable Wiring Diagram and installation instructions supplied with pans to
be installed.

The power supply for the radio systems is protected by a fuse located in the fuse holder See relevant Wiring Diagram.

-

All radio systems are protected with anti-theft coding.

NOTES, INSTALLATION:

CAUTION:  When connecting the speed signal (radios with "Gala" speed-dependent volume control) ensure that the signal is not short-circuited,
otherwise this can cause malfunctions in vehicle systems (including engine management).

Connecting the speed signal to radios of other makes can cause similar malfunctions.

-

Vehicles with factory preparation for radio installation are provided with connectors intended for genuine Audi radio systems.

Suitable adapter leads must be used to connect radios with other connectors
