Disconnect harness connector -2- from kick-down switch -1-.

All vehicles

Remove retaining clip -1- on accelerator pedal cable bracket or kick-down switch, whichever is installed.

NOTE:  Vehicles with manual transmission: retaining clip is located behind the front wall of the plenum.

Twist cable positioning tab approx. 90° in counter-clockwise direction -arrow 1- and pull positioner out through the fire wall and into into the
plenum -arrow 2-.

Remove accelerator pedal cable.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of the removal procedure, during installation, note the following:
