Specified value: 20 to 25 Ohms (at approx. 20 degrees C).

If the specification is not obtained:

Replace Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve N75.

If the specification is obtained:

Checking Resistance

Connect the test box 1598/42 to the wiring harness of the Engine Control Module (ECM) J623.

Using the Test Box 105 Pin VAG1598/42 and Multimeter V.A.G 1526 A or equivalent, check the following wiring connection for an open circuit.

Specified value: Wire resistance max 1.5 Ohms.

If the specified value is not obtained.

Repair the wiring connection.

If the specified value is obtained.

Check the wiring between the electrical connector terminal 1 and Engine Component Power Supply Relay J757 terminal 2 for an open circuit.
Specified value: Wire resistance max 1.5 Ohms.

If the specified value is not obtained.

-

Repair the wiring connection.

If the specified value is obtained.

-

Replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) J623.

Assembly is performed in the reverse order of the removal, note the following:

Final procedures

After the repair work, the following work steps must be performed in the following sequence:

1. Check the DTC memory.
2. If necessary, erase the DTC memory.
3. If the DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code.

End diagnosis and switch the ignition off.
