Selector Mechanism, Disassembling and Assembling

Selector mechanism, disassembling and assembling, 09L, 6 Spd. A/T AWD

Note:

Removing and installing securing spring for locking cable.

If selector gate or selector housing are faulty the entire selector mechanism has to be replaced. The two components cannot be adjusted using
workshop tools.

Disassembling

-

Shift selector lever to position "S".

-

Remove Shift lock solenoid N110 - item 7 -.

-

Unbolt and then unclip selector gate - 12 - from selector housing - 14 -.

-

Release pivot pins - 5 - and - 19 - and pull them out sideways.

-

Unclip retaining clips - 2 - and - 16

-

Pull off retaining clip - 17 -.

-

Swivel locking lever - 11 - upward as far as it will go.

-

Pull selector lever - 6 - together with bushings - 3 - and - 15 - and Tiptronic locking levers - 4 - and - 18 - downward out of selector housing - 14 -.
