Cover and Upholstery, Seat Pan with Seat Cushion Extension

‹› The procedure description is based on a manual or power sport front seat and super sport seat.

Removing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components Safety Precautions ] See:

Restraint Systems/Service Precautions.

‹› Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge

static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove front seat:

‹› Manual Sport seat => [ Manual Standard Front Seats ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front Seats.

‹› Power sport seat and super sport seat => [ Power Standard Front Seats ] See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Power Standard Front Seat with or

without Memory Function.

Attach front seat to Fixture For Seat Repair ( VAS 6136). Refer to => [ Front Seat, Installing on VAS 6136 ] See: Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement/Seat Versions Overview.

Remove the front backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front Seats.

Remove the sill side trim retaining bracket.

‹› Manual Sport seat => [ Sill Side Trim Retaining Bracket ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Manual Standard Front Seats.

‹› Power sport seat and super sport seat => [ Sill Side Trim Retaining Bracket ] See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Power Standard Front Seat with or

without Memory Function.

With LATCH child seat anchorages (passenger seat only): Remove the LATCH child seat anchorage. Refer to => [ Front LATCH Child Seat
Anchorages ] See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Child Restraint/Child Seat Tether Attachment/Service and Repair.

Pull the seat cushion cushion extension out as far as the stop.

Unclip the catches - 2 -.

-

Tilt the support with the seat cushion extension upholstery and cover - 1 - up in the - direction of the arrow - far enough so the catches remain
disengaged.

Remove the mount - 1 - together with the cushion and cover - 2 - for the seat cushion extension.
