Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair

Front Brake Disc, Replacing

Always use new bolts.

‹› Always replace on both axles.

Removing

-

Raise vehicle.

-

Remove wheels.

-

Remove front brake pads => [ Front Brake Pads ] See: Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Front Brake Pads.

Do not let the brake caliper hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with
the brake hose.

CAUTION!
Do not press the brake pedal when the caliper is removed.

Remove bolts - 5 - on front brake carrier.

-

Remove front brake carrier.

-

Remove securing bolt - arrow - on the brake disc while holding disc firmly.
