Check the guide ring - F - on the connections for both refrigerant lines - B - and - C - for damage.

Clean the refrigerant line and compressor connections and check for damage.

Coat O-ring seals lightly with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to=> [ Refrigerant Circuit O-Ring Seals ] See: Description and
Operation/Refrigerant Circuit.

Insert the respective O-ring seal - D - and - E - in the groove - G - on the connections for both refrigerant lines - B - and - C -.
‹› Do not use the O-rings from the shipping caps that are installed on the connections of replacement compressor when installing lines.
‹› Check O-ring seals for proper seating in the groove - G - on each refrigerant line.

Insert both refrigerant lines - B - and - C - into each connection on the compressor.

Tighten the bolts - A - to 9 Nm (bolts with a M6 thread) and to 25 Nm (bolts with a M8 thread).
‹› Following attachment of refrigerant pipes to compressor (and installation of compressor) check routing of pipes. They must be inserted in holders
provided and not make contact with other components.

Evacuate and fill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C System with Refrigerant R134a.

Check DTC memory of A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) and erase any displayed malfunction if necessary. Refer to Vehicle
Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Install the remaining components.

Operate the A/C system after filling the refrigerant circuit. Refer to=> [ Operating A/C System after Filling Refrigerant Circuit ] See: Description
