Fuel Return Line: Service and Repair

Suction Line

Removing

-

Observe safety precautions. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Safety Precautions/Fuel

Observe rules for cleanliness. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Clean Working
Conditions/Fuel Supply System.

Remove fuel delivery unit. Refer to => [ Fuel Delivery Unit ] See: Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Fuel Delivery Unit.

Remove fuel level sensor 2. Refer to => [ Fuel Level Sensor 2 ] See: Fuel Tank/Fuel Gauge Sender/Service and Repair/Fuel Level Sensor 2.

Carefully remove the fuel level sensor 2 - 3 - with the suction line - 1 - from the fuel tank opening.

‹› When removing, be sure not to bend float arm of fuel level sensor 2.

Disconnect electrical connector - 2 - by pressing the release - arrow A -.

-

Press the bracket together with needle nose pliers - B arrows  - and remove the suction line.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
