2. Update the comfort system central control module (J393) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.

3. The remotes must be relearned after the software update.

a. With the ignition on and the engine off, place remote into the ignition for at least 5 seconds.

b. Repeat for each additional remote, if available.

c. If the additional remotes are not available at the time of service, please instruct the customer to repeat this procedure with the additional remotes.
Otherwise, the keyless unlock and start/stop (if equipped) may not work with the unlearned remotes.

4. Once the learn procedure has been completed, turn off the ignition, disconnect the VAS Tester from the vehicle, and lock the car for a minimum of 2
minutes to allow the vehicle systems to go to sleep.

5. Test the remote's unlocking capability from at least 20-30 ft away from the vehicle to ensure the key has been relearned to the car.

6. If the car is equipped with the Kessy system, lock the car and check all the door handle sensors to ensure they are working.
