Remove bolts - arrows -.

-

Disconnect electrical connector - 1 - for the brake fluid level warning switch (F34).

-

Lift engine compartment E-box - 3 - and disconnect electrical connector - 2 - for the brake pedal switch (F47).

-

Disengage wiring harness - 1 - on the engine compartment E-box.

-

Release retaining clips - 2 - and - 5 - and slide the engine control module retaining frame - 3 - as far back into the vehicle interior as possible.

-

Remove engine compartment E-box - 4 -.

Installing

‹› Tightening specification => [ Engine compartment E-box, tightening specifications ] See: Fuse Block/Service and Repair/Engine Compartment

E-Box and A-Pillar Relay Carrier/Fuse Panel Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Install fuse panel B (SB) => [ Fuse Panel B in Engine Compartment E-Box ] See: Fuse Block/Service and Repair/Fuse Panel B in Engine
Compartment E-Box.

Install alarm horn (H12) => [ Alarm Horn ] See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft and Alarm Systems/Alarm Horn/Service and
Repair.

Connect battery. Required actions => [ ] See: Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery.

Install washer fluid reservoir filler neck => [ Washer Fluid Reservoir Filler Neck ] See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Windshield Washer
Reservoir/Service and Repair/Washer Fluid Reservoir Filler Neck.
