High-Mount Brake Light (Avant), Removing And Installing

Special tools and equipment

Special hook 3370

Removing

-

Remove upper trim of rear lid

-

Insert a screwdriver -1- into the hole in the rear lid through which the wire leads to high-mount brake light.

-

Disengage securing rail -2- of spring tabs toward the right -arrow in exploded view-by pressing screwdriver handle to the left -arrow-with force.

-

Using 3370 special hook, pull high-mount brake light -2- out of chassis cutout starting at right -arrow-.

-

Disconnect electrical harness connector -1-.

-

Remove securing rail for high-mount brake light (5x) from rear lid.
