Keep seal straight when installing. Drive in new oil seal for right flange shaft to a depth of 5.5 mm below outer surface of housing.

Fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with sealing grease G052 128 Al.

Keep seal straight when installing. Drive in new oil seal for left flange shaft to a depth of 5.5 mm below surface of cover.

Drive in flange shaft using mandrel VW 295.

-

Bolt drive shaft to flange shaft.

-

Install splash plates for drive shaft.

-

Check oil level in manual transmission.
