A4 Sedan V6-3.0L (AVK) (2002)
Driver/Vehicle Information Display: Service and Repair
Adaptation Of Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Performing (Adaptation Channel 81)
NOTE:
-
The "adaptation" function has to be carried out on A/C control heads -E87- that display the malfunction "control module incorrect VIN".
-
A new replacement A/C control head -E87- is supplied without VIN. The VIN transferred via the CAN-bus comfort system is entered and saved in
the A/C control head -E87- when the ignition is first switched on after the installation.
-
If an A/C control head -E87- is to be installed into another vehicle, the transmitted and saved VIN no longer matches, the -E87- recognizes this
and stores the malfunction "Control module incorrect VIN). The VIN that is saved in the A/C control head -E87- is erased by entering the
PIN-number during the adaptation function.
-
The adaptation of the A/C control head -E87- can only be carried out by entering the designated PIN-number.
