Thermostat: Service and Repair

Thermostat

Removing

-

Remove front engine cover - arrows -.

-

Remove bolts - arrows -.

-

Remove air duct - 1 - and - 2 -.

-

Drain coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures.

Remove front bumper cover.

-

Bring lock carrier into service position. Refer to => 

Radiator Support See: Body and Frame/Lock Carrier

-

Remove upper section of intake manifold.

-

Remove front coolant pipe. Refer to => [ Front Coolant Line ] See: Coolant Line/Hose/Service and Repair/Front Coolant Line. 

‹› Place a rag beneath to catch escaping coolant.
