Transmission Oil Level Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (VAG 1331)

Procedure

‹› The vehicle must be horizontal when checking gear oil level.

To check gear oil level, remove oil filler plug - arrow -. 

Oil level is correct when transmission is filled up to edge of housing -  arrow -.

Top off with gear oil if necessary. Specifications, refer to => [ Code Letters, Allocation, Transmission Ratios, Capacities ] See: Transmission and
Drivetrain/Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Application and ID/Code Letters, Allocation, Transmission Ratios, Capacities.

Install oil filler plug and tighten.

Note the following when filling with new oil
