Input shaft > < Servicing bearings for spur gear and centre differential
Exploded view - removing and installing selector fork cluster, input shaft, 1st, 2nd and reverse gears on output shaft
   
Exploded view - removing and installing selector fork cluster, input shaft, 1st, 2nd and reverse gears on output shaft
1 - Bolt
q   20 Nm and then turn 45° further
q   Secures selector fork cluster → Item to bearing mounting → Item
2 - Selector fork cluster
q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter
3 - Bearing mounting
q   Carries bearings for input shaft and output shaft in gearbox cover
q   Clean locking fluid out of tapped holes (using thread tap or similar)
  Note
t  The roller bearing outer races on the input shaft and output shaft cannot be renewed separately.
t  The roller bearing outer races must not have any radial clearance in the bearing mounting.

q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter
5 - Output shaft
q   With 3rd and 4th gear wheels
q   Removing and installing 1st, 2nd and reverse gear → Chapter
q   Dismantling and assembling → Chapter
6 - Needle bearing
q   For 2nd gear
7 - 2nd speed selector gear
8 - Inner ring for 2nd gear
q   Installation position → Fig.
q   Distinguishing inner rings for 1st and 2nd gear → Fig.
9 - Intermediate ring for 2nd gear
q   Installation position → Fig.
10 - Synchro-ring for 2nd gear
q   Installation position → Fig.
11 - Locking collar/synchronising hub for 1st and 2nd gear
q   Pulling off → Anchor
q   Installation position: high inside collar faces 2nd speed selector gear → Fig.
q   Pressing on → Fig.
12 - Circlip
q   Determining thickness → Anchor
13 - Needle bearing
q   For 1st gear
14 - Synchro-ring for 1st gear
q   Installation position → Fig.
15 - Intermediate ring for 1st gear
q   Installation position → Fig.
16 - Inner ring for 1st gear
