Removing and installing intermediate flange
   
Removing
–  Remove particulate filter: A5 up to vehicle identification no. 8T-8-009 998 → Chapter; A4 (all), A5 from vehicle identification no. 8T-8-009 999 onwards → Chapter.
–  Remove turbocharger → Chapter.
–  If fitted, remove bolts -1- and -3-.
  Note
Ignore items marked -2- and -arrows-.
  A19-10762
–  Remove bolts -3- (3x), -4- (3x), -5- (2x) and -1, 2 and 6- and take off intermediate flange.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Turbocharger - exploded view“
  Note
Renew seals and/or gaskets.
–  Install turbocharger → Chapter.
