Removing and installing control unit J431, J745
Removing and installing control unit -J431-, -J745-
Depending on the version, the parking aid control unit is integrated in the onboard supply control unit -J519- from model year 2012 onwards and cannot be renewed separately in the event of a fault → Electronic parts catalogue.
–  Renew onboard supply control unit → Chapter.
–  When renewing control unit select „Replacement“ function for appropriate control unit in „Guided Fault Finding“ or „Guided Functions“ → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
   
Removing
–  Remove glove box → Rep. gr.68.
–  Release retaining clip -arrow- and remove control unit -1- from mounting frame.
–  Unplug electrical connector -2-.

–  Unplug electrical connector by releasing catch -1- and moving retaining clip in direction of -arrow-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Install glove box → Rep. gr.68.
