Drill out the original joint using the spot weld breaker (V.A.G 1731).

Separate the joint with a flat chisel (VAS 5300/34), if necessary.

Remove any remaining material with the straight sander (VAS 5170).

Installation

Install new part with vehicle standing on the alignment bracket set and affix it in place.

Check fit with attachments.
