Distance Sensor: Service and Repair

Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor

The sensor is located behind the right air intake grille on the front bumper.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

-

Release bracket - 1 - and remove air intake grille - 2 -.

-

Rotate fasteners - 2 - approximately 45 degrees left and remove.

-

Release and remove connector - 3 -.

-

Remove sensor - 1 - forward through bumper cover. 

-

Remove bolts - 1 - and bracket - 2 -.
