Disconnect exhaust system at the double clamp - arrow -.

Move the front exhaust pipe to the side and secure it on the rear section of the exhaust system (clamping sleeve) with wire.

Support the transmission using the engine/transmission jack (V.A.G 1383 A) with the transmission support (T10337) attached.

CAUTION!
There is the risk of an accident.

‹› The engine/transmission jack (V.A.G 1383 A) may only be used during assembly and must not sit unsupervised under the vehicle.

Remove the tunnel crossmember bolts - arrows -.
