Starter Motor: Service and Repair

Starter, 2.8L FSI, 3.0L MPI, 3.0 TFSI and 3.2L FSI

Removing

-

With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) wire. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] .

-

Remove right front wheel.

‹› Secure brake disc with a wheel bolt.

-

Loosen the fasteners - 1 and 2 - - arrow - and remove the noise insulation, if equipped.

-

Remove right driveshaft heat shield - 1 -.
