Headlamp Alignment Actuator: Service and Repair

Left and Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor

Removing

CAUTION!
Danger to life due to high voltage.

‹› Usage and safety information for gas discharge headlamps. Refer to => Electrical System General Information 94.

With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) wire. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Starting and
Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Battery.

Left headlamp - vehicles with 6-cyl. Gasoline engine: 

-

Remove reservoir for power steering. Refer to => [ Power Steering Reservoir ] See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Windshield Washer
Reservoir/Service and Repair/Power Steering Reservoir.

Right headlamp - vehicles with 6-cyl. Gasoline engine: 

-

Remove air filter housing. Refer to=> [ Air Filter Housing, 6 Cylinder Gasoline Engine ] See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and
Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing. 

Right headlamp - vehicles with 4.2L MPI engine:

Remove air filter housing. Refer to=> [ Air Filter Housing, 4.2L MPI ] . 

Right headlamp - vehicles with 4.2L FSI engine:

-

Remove air filter housing. Refer to=> [ Air Filter Housing, 4.2L FSI ] . 

Left headlamp - vehicles with 10-cyl. Gasoline engine: 

-

Remove air filter housing. Refer to=> [ Left Air Filter Housing, 10 Cylinder Gasoline Engine ] .

Right headlamp - vehicles with 10-cyl. Gasoline engine: 

-

Remove air filter housing. Refer to=> [ Left Air Filter Housing, 10 Cylinder Gasoline Engine ] .

All:

-

Release securing guides - arrows - and remove headlamp housing cover.

Remove screws - arrows -.
