Spoiler: Service and Repair

Rear Window Spoiler

CAUTION!
Spoiler must also be adhered with an additional adhesive sealing bead in addition to adhesive strips.

Spoiler must only be installed with adhesive belonging to delivery casing.

It is not possible to remove without destroying.

Rear lid spoiler

CAUTION!
Rear lid and spoiler must be completely free of dust and grease in adhesion area.

‹› When removing, protect adjacent painted areas on lid with fabric reinforced adhesive tape.

‹› Heat adhesion area on lid using hot air gun (V.A.G 1416)

‹› Remove spoiler from rear lid begging with side.

‹› Completely remove adhesive residue from adhesive bands on rear lid. 

‹› Cut back residual bead from adhesive on rear lid between adhesive bands.

‹› Before installing new spoiler, clean surfaces to be adhered with D 009 401 04

‹› Wipe cleaned surfaces with paper towel.
