Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

Vibration Damper,

Removing

-

Bring lock carrier into service position.

-

Loosen 8 vibration damper bolts - arrow - several turns while counter holding at generator ribbed belt pulley center nut with an open-end wrench.

Remove ribbed belt => [ Ribbed Belt ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Ribbed Belt

Remove bolts - arrows - and remove vibration damper. 

Installing

‹› Tightening Specification => [ Vibration damper tightening sequence ] See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and

Repair/Ribbed Belt Drive Assembly Overview

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Replace bolts which have been tightened to torque.

‹› Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type.

‹› Installation of vibration damper is only possible in one position - note alignment bushing.

Install lock carrier with attachments
