Spring tensioning system VAS 6274 from spreader device VAS 6274/8

Removing 

-

Position vehicle on lifting platform.

-

Perform system bleed using VAS 5051 A.

-

Remove wheel.

-

Insert spreader device VAS 6274/8 in correct position between body frame and upper control arm and pre-load lightly.

Note:

Beveled surface of upper thrust piece must always point in direction of travel. Brake line may be damaged if this is not done.

Loosen bolt - 1 - and pull wheel housing liner aside.

-

Slowly loosen air line - 1 - for connection - 2 - and let air pressure dissipate. Once air pressure has dissipated, remove air line.

-

Unclip air line - 1 - and cut cable tie.

-

Press air spring together by hand.
